The adapter is not connecting wirelessly. What should I do?
• Ensure your car supports wired CarPlay or Android Auto
• Confirm Wi-Fi is enabled on your phone

• Restart the car infotainment system and retry
Audio or navigation feels unstable.
• Ensure the phone remains within the car cabin
• Avoid switching networks during use
• The device performs best on the 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi band
The adapter is not detected by the car.
• Try switching between USB-A and USB-C connectors
• Confirm the USB port supports data, not charging only
DriveCast is not connecting. What is the most common reason?
Drive works only when plugged into the car’s OEM wired CarPlay/Android Auto USB data port, not a charging-only port. Ensure it is connected to the same USB port used for wired CarPlay or Android Auto.
Why does Drive connect and disconnect randomly?
The most common cause is an incorrect USB port or unstable USB data/power.
• Plug Drive into the OEM USB port that supports wired CarPlay/Android Auto.
• If multiple ports are available, try the other infotainment USB data port.
• Avoid using USB hubs, splitters, extensions, or converters during setup or troubleshooting.
Why does the connection drop in certain locations?
• Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto relies on a Wi-Fi link after pairing.Keep the phone closer to the head unit (dashboard area).
• Turn off hotspot or Wi-Fi sharing on the phone while using Drive.
• If the issue occurs only in specific locations (such as basements or dense traffic zones), reconnect once after moving away from that area.
The problem started after a phone software update. What should I do?
Phone updates may reset wireless permissions or pairing behavior.
• Restart the phone once.
• Perform a Forget & Re-Pair using the Clean Reset method.
How do I perform a Clean Reset on Drive / Drive S1?
Follow these steps to rebuild the pairing from scratch:
1. Unplug Drive from the car’s USB port.
2. On your phone:
• Forget “Drive” from Bluetooth.
• If it appears in saved Wi-Fi networks, forget it there as well.
• On iPhone, also remove it from CarPlay if it appears under your car’s CarPlay profile.
3. Plug DriveCast back into the OEM wired CarPlay/Android Auto USB data port.
4. Open Bluetooth and pair with Drive.
5. Tap Allow / Pair / Use CarPlay / Enable Android Auto on all prompts.
After completing these steps, DriveCast should connect normally
